Frequently asked questions.

What are microgreens and why should I eat them?

These are either fruit or vegetable produce, which we have germinated, and allowed to mature under light to pack in as much flavor and nutrients as possible before a true leaf forms. Most people talk about changing their diet, but never really get around to it. These babies allow you to add them to pretty much any major dish, fresh, and get those nutrients you may be missing. Chefs also love these microgreens because they add color, flavor, and elegance to their dishes.

How do I cook with them?

You don’t! If you try to sauté these fragile sprouts, they will wither and turn into nothing. They can be eaten fresh! Examples we give are throwing a handful on top of your salad for added flavor; throw a clump on top of your soups, add a layer to your sandwich or wrap; throw some in a smoothie to replace that gross spinach; sprinkle them over your eggs in the morning…we could go on and on!

Can you deliver outside Clarksville?

We can sure try! Just shoot us an e-mail and we will work with you.

Do you ship?

We do not ship our microgreens. Our greens are delivered as fresh as possible, so they will last in your fridge for at least two weeks. This means we harvest the day prior or the day of delivery. Most microgreens you get at restaurants or grocery stores have been shipped in from big box suppliers out-of-state: those only last a few days because they were harvested a week or more before they make it to your plate! Once you add the microgreens of your choice to your cart, choose the “pick up” option and we will deliver to your door if you fall into our area of operations. If you want some of our merch, please select the shipping option when you check out.

How long do your microgreens last?

We advertise our greens will last AT LEAST two weeks in the fridge, but we have had customers tell us they last longer. The key to keeping them fresh is to keep the moisture out. To extend the life of your greens, add another paper towel to the top of the container before you close it up.

Do you wash your microgreens before packaging?

No, however, our greens are grown in a meticulously cleaned indoor grow space. Before eating your greens, we recommend washing them. Remember those bags of salad you buy at the grocery store and how you have to race to eat them within a day or two? Those salads have been washed (and not dried) before sealing them in a bag. Do not wash them until you are ready to eat them.

Do I have to commit to a subscription?

No, you can absolutely do a one-time purchase to try some out. We grow to order, and most of our varieties take between 10-14 days to plant/germinate/harvest. Please note, once you subscribe, we will need 14 days notice to change your next order.

Is there a delivery fee?

If you spend more than $10 per order, delivery is free to the surrounding Clarksville/Hopkinsville area.

What else do you sell?

Next year will be exciting. We will hopefully be expanding our bee yard to sell local CLARKSVILLE honey. Soon our website will advertise wool products, either spun into yarn or slightly processed, and ready to use for crafting. The rest of our swag will be up shortly.

Can I add a subscription of microgreens and merchandise to the same cart?

Unfortunately, we are limited by our website design, so for now customers cannot choose local pickup when they check out with subscription products. You must create two separate orders.

What if I want to get more than one type of microgreen delivered to my residence?

Please be patient with this type of website design. We are slowly adding different variety options. For now our website allows you to choose one “product” when you subscribe, unless you make an account. If you don’t want to bother with that, just e-mail or call us and we can get your order started!

Do you do farm visits?

Not really, we run a small hobby farm and have full-time jobs elsewhere…however…Brittni is working on some other ventures that may allow you to visit and zen out with the alpacas.
